About River Run
I don't have many people to acknowledge, having been pretty much a solo act for most of my life. But I do owe a huge debt of grad-itude to James Curtis, the founder and chief editor at Pandolf Press, not only for giving me a chance but for bringing such intelligence and insight into his editorial comments. We were always of one mind. I never felt I needed to dispute his judgments. In short, I couldn't have asked for a kinder, more understanding, more generous editor and mentor. There is always a tendency among certain editors of a different stripe to want to see a writer reproduce the book they have in their own heads. Jim's goal was always to help me better express what I was trying to say. And for that I count myself very lucky.
